Amritsari Dhaba Style Mutton Keema Curry Recipe | Hot & Spicy Mutton Dish | My North Indian Style Cooking | Priyanka Ganguly Bengali Lifestyle Vlogs

Hello Friends

I am back with my another cooking video, this video was shot on Fathers Day and that is why I am going to share with you, from my son’s request “his father’s favorite dish” that is Amritsari Dhaba Style Mutton Keema Curry which I learned from a Roadside Dhaba Cook in Amritsar while we were traveling back from Kashmir.

Find the written recipe of the dish below.

Dish: Amritsari Dhaba Style Mutton Keema Curry

Origin: Punjab

Course: Mains

Mutton Keema: 1Kg

Finely chopped onion: 4 Large

Ginger & Garlic Paste: 4tbsp

Tomato puree: 2 large tomatoes

Whole spices/ Garam masala: 2 bay leaves, whole cumin seeds, 1inch cinnamon stick, 4-5 green cardamoms, few cloves

Butter: as per your desire

Oil: white oil for cooking

Capsicum: 1 medium diced

Coriander leaves chopped: 1 bunch

Green chilies: 5-6 slit in halves

Milk: 1 cup

Powdered Spices: Haldi, red chili, coriander, cumin, garam masala, salt

Heat OIl in a pan and add some butter to it. Add the whole spices and saute till the fragrance rises.

Add chopped onion to it and saute till light brown, add ginger garlic paste and fry until the raw smell is gone.

When Oil separates add capsicum and saute for some time, then add tomato puree and fry till the smell of tomatoes is gone. Add some butter at this point to make it more delicious.

Add powdered spices one by one, 1tbps turmeric, 3 tbsp coriander, 2 tbsp cumin, 3 tbsp chili, and salt as per your taste.

Add mutton Keema when the oil separates from the spices and keep roasting it on high flame.

Keep a lip on the pan and let the mutton cook, the mutton will release water so you don’t need to add any extra water, cook the mutton in the water it has released, keep stirring at regular intervals so that the meat doesn’t stick to the bottom and burn

Add 1 small cup of milk and keep stirring gently. Add some butter to make it more delicious.

Add slit green chilies and coriander and give it a final stir.

Dish out and garnish with remaining green chilies and coriander leaves.

That’s it your Amritsari Dhaba Style Mutton Keema Curry is Ready. Enjoy it with your favorite bread like roti, lacha paratha, naan, or buttered pao/buns.
