    Americans have BAD taste for good movie if Hero is the Jet li movie that they consider good. It's a mediocre piece and we martial arts fans don't even consider the movie a fair martial arts piece.

    I think this time you guys miss your number one pick. I think Wong Fei Hung needs to be at least in the top 3 with Chan Ka Kui and Lee. Wong Fei Hung might be the longest martial arts (real-life) hero ever played in movies and TV series by numbers of famous martial art actors including the legendary Kwan Tak Hing, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Eddie Peng. Most are very successful movies that launch the carriers of the first three actors mentioned above.

    Its hard to choose between Bruce Lee and JCVD but I will give it to Van Damme because he is one of the most charismatic actors of all time and has also the better looks.

    Fail. Missing Michael Dudikoff as Joe in Amercian Ninja and especially Sho Kosugi as Cho Osaki in Revenge of the Ninja. Kosugi is responsible for the ninja craze of the 80s!
