I have no idea what is unknown or underrated, but among serious Japanese film lovers Harakiri is among the best loved ones. I saw it because someone recommended it to me when we were arguing about Mifune or Nakadai being the best actor..I do not know some others if they are underrated or not but I have not seen quite a few of those still, it does nto mean much, I am lately focused on Japanese and not Chinese films, so I am quite behind now.

She mentions the score for Master of the Flying Guillotine but doesn't say how weird the choice of music is. It is all Krautrock bands. Neu!, Kraftwerk, and Tangerine Dream all have songs in this seriously kick ass, and seriously weird, Kung Fu movie. Discovering this movie's existence was like discovering the holy grail for me.

There's a movie that I loved as a kid, but can't remember the title. I do remember the hero in it didn't want to die lying down and died standing propped up by his sword and that's how it ended. If anyone could help with the name of it, it would be greatly appreciated
